Autism : The Musical

I watched..
Autism : The Musical..
A documentary based on autistic kids,
And their struggles besides knowing how is it like being a parent to a austistic child,
It was a really inspiring documentary I must say.
There are scenes that touches my heart..
Even trigger me into thinking the whole concept of acceptance..

It was a project from "Coach E"(Elaine Hall) who adopted a child,
Namely, Neal who is austistic.
She was the founder of The Miracle Project..
And she tells us her story about having a austistic child,
Raising him up and stuff..
And having to deal with his tantrum.
An austistic child tends to shut themselves away from the world,
The people around them..
For that, Neal speaks with a computer where he has to type his speeches on it for it to communicate for him..

Wyatt is one of the character in the documentary.
He seemed more astute than some other kids in the documentary,
Besides Henry...
I have a soft side for this lil kid here,
Like what he has to say and stuff..
Are mostly pretty thoughtful..
He speaks about bullies from his school,
And how frustrated he is when people can't seemed to accept him for who he is,
There's a scene in the documentary where his mom asked him how was his day in school,
And he was like,
"100% of them are retarded in my class."

Obviously you guys will be like, o.O
Okay..
Thats how an austistic kid should say about his peers around him..
Since austistic children are always in their own world,
Then again,
He is good at reasoning things out,
He mentioned about why he thinks his classmates are 100% retarded,
Because they spat strings of insults to his face,
Just so he's different.
He knows that he is one of those kids,
Who has the tendency to drift to their own world..
However,
He said he does that because..
He felt lonely and nobody is there to talk to him,
And he likes to have people around him..
He loves being with people,
But people just don't understand him.

He's funny.
Besides being really good with his speeches..
The choice of words he uses can blow you away..
Thinking that a kid of his age could speak like that.
I like Wyatt=)

Henry.
He is one of my favourite character too,
Well I actually like everyone of them in different ways,
As for Henry,
I like him for his field of interest,

"Henry has Asperger syndrome, which is known as 'high-functioning' autism. Kids with Asperger tend to be gifted or highly intelligent in specific areas. In Henry's case, he has a photographic memory for all things about reptiles and dinosaurs."

He can go on ranting about his field of interest
,
(which is obviously dinosaurs and reptiles)
Like a real expert!
This lil kid is really something,
However,
Kids of his age couldn't take his rants on dinosaurs and reptiles,
You know what kids love..
Kids love computer games, guns, Play Stations, Nintendo..you name it,
You sure knows what kids love,
Thus its rather strange for a kid..
Like Henry to go on ranting about reptiles and dinosaurs all the time,
When kids are prone to listening to their peers showing off their new games,
Or perhaps any field trips their parents took them to..

Henry is an inquisitive child.
He speaks right from his heart,
For that I like him being so ever sincere with his speeches,
In fact,
I think austistic children are all very sincere with their speeches=)

Adam!
You might look at him as a spoilt brat,
Who wants things according to his way,
He doesn't like changes,
Like any other austistic kids,
He tends to drift off to his own world,
When you expose him to new things,
Nevertheless..
He is one kid who has a leadership quality,
Which is rather hard for you to miss that personality coming from him..
He's confident about what he likes,
Which is classical music,
He plays the cello and he plays it beautifully..

He has the temper,
Which is really hard for his mom to put him together,
Like I'd mentioned,
He wants things to go according to his ways..
But being a kid,
You know how flexible kids are,
Just as long as you hit some sense into them..
He will learn to cooperate when he needs to..

My sister however,
Finds him annoying.
And at certain parts of the documentary,
Looking at his ways and how he screams and wails,
When things don't go according to what he wants,
I went like..
WTF?

But he's a nice kid...
You should see him with the girls,
He loves chasing girls!XD

Last but not least,
Lexi.
She is beautiful in so many ways..
She has a good voice,
When she sings,
She touches your heart..
Her mom, Hillary couldn't come to terms about her disorder when she first knew about it,
Hillary was in denial..
She was depressed when her daughter shuts herself away from her,
However,
She managed to pull herself together,
For the sake of her daughter,
And so what she can for her daughter,
To make Lexi received the sense of belonging.

  1. Here’s some trivia about Henry: his father is musician Stephen Stills.
