Finally tired the burger at Fat Boys.

My verdict?

I don't like it.

It's overrated and it's not because they got my order wrong TWICE..

Anyway read on for a brief review.

 Jyun's beef burger.

He finds it alright :)

The fries were a huge NONO.

It's just big chunk of sliced potato.

I expected better fries but oh well.

Only had a few of it with lots of ketchup since the fries are tasteless.

It just taste like potatoes (d'oh)

Heck. 

McD fries tasted better and Carls Jr is way above par compared to the fries we got here.

 I had the DIY burger.

My burger consisted of pork patty, onion rings, bacon, & sliced cheese.

But when my order arrived it was some completely different pork burger which isn't close to this.

Sent my order back and they gave me my burger without the onion rings, without bacon, but with fried egg and sliced cheese.

Feeling exasperated since it was such an easy order I told them that that isn't what I order.

Oh yeah they got my order wrong thrice because the third time my "real order" arrived it came with a fried egg but with other stuff.

Anyway, I told them that I didn't want fried egg and I didn't order fried egg.

I don't even like the way they fry the egg!

Anyway, the fourth time my order arrives, they finally got my order right.

The patty was alright (tasted rather bland). 

Burgertory has way better pork patty and Andes too.

The cheese gave the patty more taste than the patty itself.

Anyway, I don't like it.

It's overpriced too and I can get better pork burger.

When we went there for brunch, there weren't many people and yet they got my order wrong and also took them quite long to serve us.

Don't know why people find the burger there good their fries were so soggy too.

Yuck.

Anyway, after that Jyun and I went for a stroll and later headed over to Coffee Societe.

 Mocha and my cappuccino.

My cappuccino tasted like latte.

I still prefer the cappuccino I had at Antipodean.

And Wolverine was mind blowing!

I didn't think I would like the movie based on the trailer.

But the movie is NOTHING like the trailer.

It was fucking epic!

I am still thinking about the movie today.

I like it better than Batman and Superman.

 (Superman is my favourite superhero and Magneto then Wolverine)

Now I don't really like Wolverine's superpowers not because of the movie but I still think Superman and Magneto has better superpowers. 

Do stay back for the credits cause you'll get a sneak peak of something super duper epic.

It's only Tuesday and I'm exhausted.

A good cup of joe sounds ideal now..

The bakery

Jyun took me to a really nice bakery shop recently..

The bakery shop has all sorts of bread which are freshly baked.

It was a light brunch for us as we are going to one of our favourite cafe after that for brownies..

Sausage cheese bread and lemon tart. 

I took a bite of the lemon tart and I like it very much:)

Butter croissant and raspberry tart 

 Chicken herb quiche.

Jyun doesn't like the texture of the pastry..

I quite like this but I've had better ones..

The sandwiches looks good and also their coffee..

We'll definitely pay a second visit to the bakery to try other bread :)

And I also like the atmosphere of the place too..

Artisan Roast Coffee place do not have what I wanted on that day :(

So we had our usual..

Long week ahead ~

Big Hug Burger & Whisk

I was craving for burger for quite sometime now..

Not those fast food kind,

But good burgers that are prepared from scratch.

A classmate recommended Big Hug Burger joint at SS15 (located at Subang Square specifically).

So we went over to that burger joint to give it a try.

It opens at 12.30pm and the line is slowly building up as the time is ticking.

The lady at the counter was a very friendly lady who makes her customer feel very welcome.

You'll get what I mean when I underline that word if you drop by that place ;)

It was a rather cozy burger joint (don't really like the seats though but the atmosphere is good enough)

 "Feel the love when you give a hug" :)

Like that little table and chair.

Looks more comfortable as compared to the wooden chair that I was sitting on

 We had the onion rings..

It was deep fried in olive oil.

One good thing I like about it is that it doesn't taste so sinfully oily.

And it taste good :) 

Just the way I like it.

 Jyun's grilled chicken burger (sesame bun) with herbs fries

He likes it and herb fries was fat and juicy.

Like these sort of fries..

Again, the fries doesn't taste extremely oily and makes me feel guilty after eating it..

 I opted for the fish fillet burger with wholewheat bun.

The bread was so soft and I like how it taste in my mouth.

There's garlic spread which perhaps made my burger a bit salty..

But I like it.

Wanted to try their grilled salmon since I really like salmon but they ran out of it and didn't make any new batch of salmon :(

Will go back for that perhaps?

Their big hug burger is their signature burger if I am not mistaken since alot of the customers tried that.

It looks huge though.

And it looks gooddddddddd..

They have more selection of chicken burger and you get to between three types of burger buns (charcoal bun, sesame seed or wholewheat)

You get to top up your burger with bacon, egg, etc with additional charge..

Last but not least,

My double shot of espresso latte from Whisk.

Tomorrow is the day where we do something to make a change here.

Dave's Bistro Bar Grill & Artisan Roast Coffee

The weekends are a great time for me to let my hair down,

And enjoy the company of a person whom I can have a decent conversation with about my week.

Jyun and I tried the pizza at Dave's Bistro Bar Grill at One Utama since my brother told me about it.

 We had salami pizza and it was sooooooooo delicious! 

They were so generous with their salami and it was our first time there but we know that we'll go back to try other things in their menu.

Both of us don't have a big stomach and the pizza portion was just right for us who wanted to save space for coffee and dessert later.

Artisan Roast Coffee.

One of our favorite coffee joint which serves absolutely good cup of mocha.

 Tried their brownie with nuts.

It was rather dry but it tasted so good with our cup of mocha..

Last but not least,

A cup of coffee for each of us to celebrate the weekend and to complete the week.

I would have two cups of coffee if my stomach wasn't that full from lunch *grins*
It was indeed a good weekend out :)

Tong Pak Fu, Nadeje, & Well Cooked Gourmet

My brother has this thing for baking..

He just picked up the "hobby" and I must say, he's pretty good at it..

So far he has baked durian cheesecake (apparently it tasted better that Secret Recipe's), carrot cake and just recently, he baked red velvet cupcakes! :)

And this time, I we get to try it..

Finally, we managed to try Nadeje's mille crepe cakes at PJ3 Two Square.

My first mille crepe cake was from Food Foundry and I like the texture of the cake.

Taste wise, I can't compare yet since I've only tried one mille crepe from Food Foundry

This time, we tried FOUR flavours (:

I am a happy happy girl..

My favourite was the mocha :)so

It goes so well with my cup of latte:)

The coffee was quite strong, but it goes well with my cake..

Stir fried asam laksa from Well Cooked Gourmet.

I remember that the ones at SS15 tasted really good compared to this but the shop isn't there anymore:(

But this was quite good too (can't compare to the ones I used to have at SS15 back in my pre u days)

Food Foundry & Espresso Lab

Last weekend..

We wanted to have brunch at Butter + Beans @ Seventeen.

However, the place is so so so very tiny and it couldn't fit more customers..

So we decided to have brunch at Food Foundry (at Happy Mansion) instead.

Food Foundry is situated just behind Butter + Beans @ Seventeen,

and we've heard a lot of good reviews about the place so I thought why not give it a try since we are just there:)

 I like the homey atmosphere..

 My meatball pasta..

It was quite dry..

The meatball was just so so (I've had better)

 Jyun's steak sandwich.

Like the bread..

As for the steak uhhh I guess Jyun finds it alright?

Although it was such a thin slice of steak..

Chocolate Mille Crepe.

My first mille crepe and it didn't disappoint me:)

Love the texture of the cake..

Maybe next time I'll try some other food from Food Foundry..

But I'll go back for their Mille Crepe :)

After that, coffee at Espresso Lab @ Publika..

We wanted to go back to Butter + Beans @ Seventeen for coffee but the place is still packed..

So Espresso Lab it is since I've been wanting to try their coffee :)

Latte..

It was one of the strongest latte that I've ever tasted.

Like how the barista balance the amount of milk and espresso in my cup of latte:)

I like my latte milky but not too milky..

The worse that I had was at Starbucks which tastes like water and espresso. 

Blueh..

Then again, you can't expect much from commercialize coffee place..

Jyun's Mocha

Decided to update my blog now before I we go for my our vacation.

Different destination but it's gonna be so exciting!

I'm usually way behind my blog post when comes to events..

It's so much easier to post pictures of good food cause at least my blog wouldn't be spammed with camwhore pics..XD

But since the past few weeks has been rather memorable..

And the pics taken wasn't a lot..

So here it goes..

CNY gathering at Runa's place..

 Last minute lunch & coffee session with the bunch..

Most of my classmates are coffee lovers.

Although most of them are Starbucks drinkers and I personally find Starbucks coffee tastes like instant coffee..

Hence I introduced them to good coffee :)

We went to Coffee Chemistry since it's convenient for us..

However,

The latte art was rather disappointing when I went there with them.

Maybe it's because it's lunch hour and they have more customers so their latte art wasn't that refine?

And the latte that I had wasn't that satisfying either for some reason..

It tasted rather bland..

But oh well..

At least this week I had my cup of good coffee from Antipodean Cafe :)

Even their bacon pasta (which is my usual order) tasted bland..

Celebrated Feb babies birthday:)

PS: Good food and a good cup of coffee makes me happy :)
