Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft and Flashbacks

It was Jyun's birthday.
Managed to make a reservation to dine at Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft.
The place was fully booked when we got there.
We were there early since we wanted to take our time eating and digesting our dinner and perhaps hang out in one of our favourite cafe after that:)
(notice how empty the place was in the pic below)
I love the ambiance in the restaurant.
We usually dine in place with good food and environment,
But once a while we like to dine in somewhere nicer and more intimate.
Jyun mentioned to me once that he wanted to try the food here,
And I thought it'll be great if I could make it happen for us on his birthday.

I like the service there.
The waitress who served us was really nice and friendly.
In fact, her accent reminded me of my supervisor.
Told Jyun about it and we both had a good laugh about it since he was trying to figure out who has the same accent.
The complimentary bread smells so good.

It was rather soft inside and I think it was homemade too..

To wash down our food, I got us the chamomile tea.
Almost wanted to get the juice but decided against it.
The tea went rather well with our order.
We got the crispy bacon lollippops

It was absolutely yummy.
Crispy, juicy, and oh so sinfully good.
It goes really well with their spicy pineapple sauce too.
I like this dish very much.
Salivating right now as I think about how it tasted like.
*Drools*

Leonardo's signature pork knuckle.
There's bacon bits too!
And the skin was so so sooooo crispy. It's like eating keropok.
The meat was tender and juicy.
Very flavourful although rather salty (the bacon was salty).
I had two bad experience eating pork knuckles at one of the restaurant at the Curve and Sunway Pyramid.
This was one of the good ones that I've had.
Elcerdo's pork knuckles were absolutely yummy but this one is quite good too.
Portion wise it was enough for both Jyun and I.
We were told that the portion is suitable for 3-4 people but we could take away the left overs.
But as the dish arrived,
The portion looks just right for both of us.
The Elcerdo's one was really huge compared to this.

There were herb potatoes, apple sauce (with tinge of cinnamon taste/smell), their signature sauce (I like it very much) and the purple thing is sweet (don't know what is it called).
I don't really fancy their apple sauce since I am not a fan of cinnamon.
Therefore, anything with cinnamon in it wouldn't be my cup of tea.

The place was filled with people and it became super merry around 7ish.
Coincidentally there were two people celebrating their birthday with friends/family.
Jyun and I were the youngest couple in the room as most of them were adults.

I would say this is a great place to go in a group or with a date.
Thumbs up for their juicy and tender pork knuckles and crispy bacon lollipops.

We still have space for a cup of coffee..
So we dropped by Bangsar Village II for a cup of coffee at Artisan Roast Coffee.

I asked the barista if he could make this for me.
Initially he said he has not create something like this before.
But I really appreciate his effort alongside with other baristas who got together to create this piece for Jyun.
As the baristas gathered to make this happen,
Jyun noticed how much effort they seem to put into their latte art to the extend there were other two baristas joining into creating this piece of art.
I tried to distract Jyun's attention in case he got suspicious and wallah! The managed to make this.
The barista was Ahmad who took my order and he managed to get the other baristas to create this for Jyun.
Thank you, Ahmad!

Happy me with my cup of fav mocha.

And Happy Birthday to my man:)

Flashback.

Reunited with my girlfriends after 5 years.
High school girlfriends whom I spent about 4 years with..
One was missing from the picture since she was diagnosed with dengue fever.
It was four of us back then and man we had one heck of a time during our teenage years.
We can still talk about anything and still laugh at the stupidest things.

Remember Didi? We used to spend alot of time as a group together alongside with Mei Shan, Jin, Emily and James.
She got back here for a couple of days during the weekend and I am so glad that I managed to have dinner with her.
I need more girlfriend like her.
Someone down to earth, smart, and funny:)

31 but more than 3 years of adventure, a bountiful of laughter, and god knows how many cups of coffee we had together and the amount of food we indulged ourselves in.
