Final year

It has been one hell of a week.
On my second day of my new semester, it just hit me hard on my face that I am a FINAL year student.
Gosh! Time flies.
To be honest I sort of dread the final year for some reason..
And also before this I didn't wanna think about it until I have to which is during my 2 weeks semester break whereby I had to make myself to come out with stuff for my thesis and the proposal.
By my third day of the semester while driving back home,
I thought to myself,
God. This shit is real! (not hyperventilating, I swear I am not).
This semester will be one heck of a roller coaster ride.
By the end of Thursday, I have 3 term paper to work on, some shitty magazine, proposal, and some other stuff which I need to check my timeline to see what comes first.

Hell.
I can't even keep track of the total amount of assignments I have piling up for me.

Long story short,
I managed to secure myself with a supervisor of my choice (yay me?),
I actually joined my classmates for some birthday celebration.
(not going to bother explaining what actually means).
But my Friday is pleasant..
Went on a dinner date with Jyun in an absolutely amazing place.
We have been postponing the date for a month of so due to unwanted circumstances.
That was a great meal I must say :)

More to come later.
For now,
See yah!

Somebody That I Used to Know - Walk off the Earth (Gotye - Cover)

Now you are just somebody that I used to know.
Sounds familiar?

My happiness

That guy who happens to be my best friend is my source of happiness.
And I don't need to be mushy about it because we know who we are in each other lives.
That's good enough for us :)

Betty's Midwest Kitchen

Today we ventured out to a new place for American food :)
Turns out, the place is near our campus and we got there at the right hour of the day too :D

The place is Betty's Midwest Kitchen..
And their menu consists of heaps of pork based food
(Hence you can see alot of pig pictures on the wall)
I like the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Very Midwest American (sort of reminds me of the cowboys days)
Root beer.
Jyun's favourite :)
I didn't get the coffee there since I don't trust their coffee :P
And I thought I'll get some other coffee instead
But I didn't of course for some reason ;)
Jyun's Pork Chops with Country gravy.
The gravy tasted really creamy and rather cheesy (not sure if there's any cheese added)
But it's really creamy.
Reminds me of carbonara sauce..
As for the mashed potatoes with the sauce, it blends well together

Jyun likes it,
But I find it really creamy for my liking.
A bit of it is fine, but I don't think my stomach will be able to contain all those..

My pulled pork burger with their special sauce in between.
One word,
Yummy!:P
 (but also messy)
Love the sauce and the pork. So soft and juicy :)
I expected the meat to be hard actually..
And the fries isn't salty too..:)
Mixed well with ketchup :P

Dog food (Not a joke)
Fries with gravy and cheese..
Something that cheese lovers couldn't resist.
I think they use the same gravy as the one they use for the pork chop.
Absolutely heavenly
(Those weight conscious people can forget about eating this)
 It's sinfully good.
And to hell about how fattening this is :P

Coffee Bean & Restoran Fatty Crab

Sunday with Jyun consists of:
Brunch at Subway since we need the space for dinner and also coffee
His Ice Blended White Chocolate Latte
My Mocha Latte

Been craving for my cup of mocha latte from Coffee Bean for a while now. Love the taste of Coffee Bean's coffee :) Beats Starbucks :P
As for dinner..
The line was insane (that man blocked part of the people from the line). But at least we only had to wait for 30 minutes for a place. Apparently people usually wait for an hour or so.
Yummy fried chicken
Sour spicy crabs! The last time I had crabs was at least 2 years ago. And the taste was heavenly. Dipped the sour spicy sauce with toasted bread too:P Great combination I must say (the sauce and the toasted bread)

Swam in the cold cold swimming pool after the rain subsides..
Blissful Sunday I must say..
Spent it both indoors and outdoors..
Talking about everything to anything (as usual) over a cup of coffee :)

Thanks Pei Wan for the dinner treat! :D
Should come over here for banana leaf rice one day ;)

Antipodean Cafe & Thai Garden Village

After we sat for our final paper for the semester,
We ventured into Bangsar for coffee and lunch :)
So we decided to have our lunch and coffee at Antipodean Cafe.

Cappucino

Since there's no mocha (well we didn't spot the moccahino in the menu),
Jyun and I diverted from our usual favourite choice of coffee to Cappucino and Latte.
I've forgotten what Jyun said about the Cappucino but the Latte is good enough.
Only thing is it's not hot.
I prefer my coffee hot.
It's milky and it doesn't taste too strong (it doesn't leave the acid like taste in my mouth after that) which is good cause I like it just like that.
I'm not a fan of latte for some reason but I quite like their latte there,
If they make it hotter (which I'll remind myself to request for a hotter drink in my next visit), it'll taste better:)

Latte
All day breakfast. I had these because I thought I'll give the beans a try. The beans were rather disappointing though. Since I expected it to taste different. The ones I had in Plan B tasted better. However, the toast is amazing! Although it's a small bit of toast, but I absolutely love the toast. As for the chicken sausage, it tasted almost as good as the Jarrod & Rawlins which means it's great :) And scrambled eggs, not too oily either or doesn't taste buttery. Just nice actually :)

Jyun had the Big Breakfast. He loves the toast too. And being an egg fan, obviously the scrambled eggs suits him just right. He also thinks that the sausages tasted good since it reminded him of Jarrod & Rawlins sausages :) As for the hashbrown, he said it tasted different from the usual (good different, if I can recall), mushrooms, just alright, he doesn't fancy mushrooms much anyway :)

The next day a few of us drove all the way to Kepong for Thai food :)
I had Thai food for the first time with the bunch.
Didn't really give it a thought to try thai food until Shine suggested that we should go to that place for Thai food.
So we went to Thai Garden Village at Kepong.

We had..
Tom Yam.
It's spicy and sour..
To me it tastes really spicy and sour enough for my taste buds.
I like it but it made my tongue burn..
Then again my tolerance towards spicy food are pretty low.
Jyun found it really spicy though. So IT IS really spicy..XD
His tolerance for spicy food is pretty high
Century Eggs and Chicken (can't remember the full name).
I only had a bit of this so it didn't leave much impression
But this dish finish pretty fast though.
Then again there were 16 of us.
Some beef pepper thingy.
Didn't leave much impression since I had only a tiny bit of it
This, is good.
Spicy mango salad :)
Chicken Green Curry, the dish that left the most impression. It's my first try and I love it! It has alot of santan in it which obviously makes it taste so good.

                                                                 Fried kang kong
One of the best was the crispy kang kong.
I didn't snap any photographs of it since we everyone was busy eating and I didn't want to be rude.
Anyway, we have three plates of it with the sauce which we dipped in.
Crispy and flavourful :)

We also had steamed fish.
It doesn't really leave an impression too.
Because I only had a tiny bit of it and to me it tasted like the steamed fish that I had in other chinese restaurants.

Had this green looking drink which tasted soury.
Really refreshing after you had alot of spicy food.
Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of the drink.
I think it's pear with the soury thingy (asam?)
Watched This Means War too.
It was HILARIOUS! =D
But they asked for my indentification card before I get to watch the movie since they thought I'm underage=.=
And apparently Tom Hardy and me shares the same birthdate :)
At least he's not the douchebag in the movie =p

STOP JOSEPH KONY!

It's in the worldwide trends on Twitter now.
I cannot not do anything.

STOP JOSEPH KONY!
Those children needs to be free!

Some of you may have questions about the  organization, etc.
For more information you can find out more from HERE

PS: There have been a lot of conflicting views about it.

But I'm trying to read more about the different views regarding to this.
For now, I am going to help to spread this.
Cause if the war is still on going, I want to play a role in it although a tiny one.

What about you?
What do you think?
Will you help to spread this?

You

You are a reminder for me to do better in the present.
We didn't get any closure.
But I'm trying my best to do better.

World Book Day

Today is World Book Day
And  yesterday Jyun surprised me with two books that I've been wanting to read..

I wanted to read this book for months!

And Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult!
Her newly released book..
I have no idea how he managed to get his hands on that book when I thought it's only released in the UK.
Maybe it's here already but I just saw Picoult's tweets about her newly released book a few days ago.
I still wonder how he got that book..
Then again, he wants to leave it as a mystery for me since it's supposed to be a surprise :P

Thanks, Jyun!!! *huggies*

It's March already! =)
Yesterday we did something different for a change =D
Sister however got a tummy ache since she ate too many dishes yesterday=D
Right now, I am cramming for my finals..
RAWR!
