Antipodean Cafe & Thai Garden Village

After we sat for our final paper for the semester,
We ventured into Bangsar for coffee and lunch :)
So we decided to have our lunch and coffee at Antipodean Cafe.

Cappucino

Since there's no mocha (well we didn't spot the moccahino in the menu),
Jyun and I diverted from our usual favourite choice of coffee to Cappucino and Latte.
I've forgotten what Jyun said about the Cappucino but the Latte is good enough.
Only thing is it's not hot.
I prefer my coffee hot.
It's milky and it doesn't taste too strong (it doesn't leave the acid like taste in my mouth after that) which is good cause I like it just like that.
I'm not a fan of latte for some reason but I quite like their latte there,
If they make it hotter (which I'll remind myself to request for a hotter drink in my next visit), it'll taste better:)

Latte
All day breakfast. I had these because I thought I'll give the beans a try. The beans were rather disappointing though. Since I expected it to taste different. The ones I had in Plan B tasted better. However, the toast is amazing! Although it's a small bit of toast, but I absolutely love the toast. As for the chicken sausage, it tasted almost as good as the Jarrod & Rawlins which means it's great :) And scrambled eggs, not too oily either or doesn't taste buttery. Just nice actually :)

Jyun had the Big Breakfast. He loves the toast too. And being an egg fan, obviously the scrambled eggs suits him just right. He also thinks that the sausages tasted good since it reminded him of Jarrod & Rawlins sausages :) As for the hashbrown, he said it tasted different from the usual (good different, if I can recall), mushrooms, just alright, he doesn't fancy mushrooms much anyway :)

The next day a few of us drove all the way to Kepong for Thai food :)
I had Thai food for the first time with the bunch.
Didn't really give it a thought to try thai food until Shine suggested that we should go to that place for Thai food.
So we went to Thai Garden Village at Kepong.

We had..
Tom Yam.
It's spicy and sour..
To me it tastes really spicy and sour enough for my taste buds.
I like it but it made my tongue burn..
Then again my tolerance towards spicy food are pretty low.
Jyun found it really spicy though. So IT IS really spicy..XD
His tolerance for spicy food is pretty high
Century Eggs and Chicken (can't remember the full name).
I only had a bit of this so it didn't leave much impression
But this dish finish pretty fast though.
Then again there were 16 of us.
Some beef pepper thingy.
Didn't leave much impression since I had only a tiny bit of it
This, is good.
Spicy mango salad :)
Chicken Green Curry, the dish that left the most impression. It's my first try and I love it! It has alot of santan in it which obviously makes it taste so good.

                                                                 Fried kang kong
One of the best was the crispy kang kong.
I didn't snap any photographs of it since we everyone was busy eating and I didn't want to be rude.
Anyway, we have three plates of it with the sauce which we dipped in.
Crispy and flavourful :)

We also had steamed fish.
It doesn't really leave an impression too.
Because I only had a tiny bit of it and to me it tasted like the steamed fish that I had in other chinese restaurants.

Had this green looking drink which tasted soury.
Really refreshing after you had alot of spicy food.
Unfortunately I've forgotten the name of the drink.
I think it's pear with the soury thingy (asam?)
Watched This Means War too.
It was HILARIOUS! =D
But they asked for my indentification card before I get to watch the movie since they thought I'm underage=.=
And apparently Tom Hardy and me shares the same birthdate :)
At least he's not the douchebag in the movie =p

After the finals

I am on my semester break!=D Finals ended two days ago and the first thing I did was, I hit the gym with the bestie/boyfriend. Taking out the pent up excess energy through gymming was a good plan. I've been indoors for quite sometime cramming/just being unhealthy and I know I need to move a lil to let the restless energy within me fade away. I am still quite restless but not as much as the other day.

Meet my partner in crime, Jyun who is more than willing to join me to hit the gym after the finals.

After lunch, we went for coffee at Coffee Bean. That seem to be our after exams ritual since semester 2 during my first year *grins*. I got Jyun to like mocha as much as I do or maybe not as much as I do, but he has been drinking more coffee than ever due to my influence =p. Yes, I am proud of it!=D Heh!

Yesterday, I decided to make a simple lunch/brunch for both of us. I miss mashed potatoes. So I made that as my to do list=p

I finally watched Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows part 2. It was SO GOOD! I cannot decide which part is my favourite part but I am definitely going to watch it again. I am currently reading Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.

3 more days to David Archuleta's concert! ZOMG! Shoooooooooooo freaking excited!!!=D

Third semester, first year

The first week of my 3rd semester. 6 weeks to go. Not counting down. Am not trying to for some reason. Work starts piling up for us by the 2nd day, since that's the day where we all feel the need to pull ourselves together for the real ride.

Motivation and emotion class is extremely dry. Super dull class. Two mornings I havta force myself to stay awake during the lecture. I didn't even try to pay attention to what was being taught to me. Actually I did, but after that I couldn't remember anything except for a tiny bit of this and that.

*sighs*

Pets Behaviour on the other hand, was a delightful subject. Since it's being delivered by Dr Alia for now, and it's a subject that I can relate to. Well I can somehow relate myself to what was being taught to me in Motivation and Emotion class, but the darn class makes me super demotivated and emotional trying to absorb the information delivered. Heh. Kidding. I have that class the first thing in the morning and for such a dry subject, throughout the class I was trying to stay awake, hence the lack of attention paid during lesson. I felt bad about it now though=s

Anyhoo, pets behaviour is an awesome class. Dr Alia who is also a dog lover and a cat hater, used any opportunity to jeer at cat lovers. Jyun for one is one of them and I had so much fun laughing at him for being such a cat lover. In return, Jyun did try to tease me about being such a dog lover=p

Dogs are awesome!

Celebrated Oppa's 21st birthday on Monday. We managed to distract him before he flee to spend time with his girlfriend. Tsk tsk..

Look at how happy Oppa is..

I managed to survive the week without drinking coffee. I have someone to keep me awake *grins*. I haven't been drinking coffee for at least 2 weeks already (I think). And I miss my mocha=(

Watched Marley and Me for the 4th time on Wednesday. Despite of watching it for the 4th time, I still teared when they had to put Marley to sleep. *sniff* Even when I read the book for the first time back then, I teared. Meh. I was like don'tcrydon'tcrydon'tcry, but before I know it, tears were streaming=______= So much for self control. Blehhhhh..

PS: It's not the public declaration that keeps me and you together. If I need to reassure you again and again, I will do so without hesitation. Can I expect the same from you?

Jodi Picoult

What can I say?
I watched My Sister's Keeper AGAIN!
andcriedbuckets
This is a movie that I don't think I'll get sick of..
I guess..=X
Aneewaay..
Jodi Picoult is a remarkable author.
I've said it before and I am gonna mention it again.

Dear Jodi Picoult,
If you happen to drop by my site..
Can I have your autograph?
I am a Malaysian and I am pulling our legs when I say that I really really really like your books.

I was raving about being so wide awake and couldn't sleep tonight and stuff..
But now I am yawning away as I type this out.
Had an amazing day today(yesterday to be honest)..
And I'll blog about it later perhaps?

Happy Friday..
Good morning and good night to me.
Owh wait.
I need another dose of Jodi Picoult before I go to bed..
Currently reading Nineteen Minutes for the second time.
Not bad compared to Keeping Faith which I read for ten times already or more.
(I swear I am not exaggerating)

Movies and books

What a dayyyy...
*flashing a broad grin*
I found out from my siblings that they're currently on their break,
Which means, its time for me to make an appointment with my other bestie!
Thank goodness I'll be handing in my assignment next week.

Headed over to the bookstore cause I need to get myself a book..
Plus I got a feeling that the store might have sales.
Well yes, they do have discounts for most of the books there.

Only thing is I've either read the books before, or forgotten if I've read them and some genre I just don't read them for some reason.
At times like that, I wish so bad that I do read fantasy books..
Then it wouldn't be so hard for me to pick a book from the store then.
I ended up buying this book that I really want from Cathy Glass and another novel from Cecelia Ahern since that's the only book from her that I haven't read before(I think)
The novel that I am looking for isn't there, probably it's because it's still very new. And I am got rather disappointed with MPH too since MPH don't those novels too.

I wish JK Rowling will write another bunch of series.
Man! I remember how I used to anticipate the release of her books.
Why can't I try liking Twilight?
I am in desperate need for a good book.
But Twilight series suck big time.
I cringed at the books that are sold in almost every bookstore I stepped in.
It's annoying really.
They have such nice covers for such sucky book..
But I've had always admired the cover of the book though..
A book with a sophisticated looking cover with such shallow context in it..
I think my bro is another anti-Twilight fan..
Since he's against everything with a vampire character in it.

This week I've read..
A book about eating disorders.
Took me quite sometime to read it since I got annoyed with the character of the book,
Besides hating the fact that being fashionably thin is like the only goal for some people..
And that always reminds me of people who tend to put up pictures of them in their site and commented about how fat or ugly they look in that picture cause I very well don't get why on earth do these people bother posting up their pictures if they really think that they are that fat or ugly since the only thing I can think of is these people is that they are just an attention seekers. It's pathetic really.
Plus, I've got rather caught up with my homework during the weekdays.

Note : And shut up about me being so "small" cause I don't think I am that small.

Watched a couple of movies at my uncle's place..
Actually THREE movies..
I can't remember the name of the first movie though..X)

Jackie Chan speaks funny English.
But I can't wait to watch his next movie with Will Smith's son in it..=D

In the Nanny's Diary..
I don't really get what does Stockholm syndrome gotta do with anything in that movie.
I would wanna watch that movie again though..

I am currently reading a rather interesting book by Anne Deveson.
Wished there aren't a lot of distractions around me..

Last minute plan

I was lost for things to do today to be honest...
Besides finishing the book that I am currently reading,
I have no plans.
Besides, I am feeling super lazy to think of something to write..

This morning,
Shia woke me up..
She too was bored and restless..
And since my phone is still in a coma state(stupid phone, I still can't text with it),
I havta get myself logged into my messenger to talk to her about ma plans for the day..
Which is to go out for a movieeee!=D
I've been wanting to watch a movie, any movie..
Though I wanted so much to watch Valentines Day..
But we watched this instead :

Its a good movie.
My brother will find this movie amazing, its definitely his cup of tea..
I can't help but to think, that my lil bro might like that movie..
Shia and I headed over to Aeon to watch that movie, since Valentines Day movie isn't available in that theatre anymore, we decided to watch that and I like that movie.

I hate Aeon.
Its incredibly dull there=.=
But that's the nearest place for us to go to watch a movie..

Then again, it is my nature to get restless easily..
Glad that I had my dose of adventurous moments in Aussie=p

The house will be quiet for the next two days..
My sissy is away for camp..

She was super excited about the whole prospect of being away from home for the first time that she couldn't sleep last night! Hahaha! That girl. This is her first experience being away from home and being away for a camp.

Look out for my post on my trip to Aussie=)

My Sister's Keeper

Just watched My Sister's Keeper..
Which is actually a novel written by Jodi Picoult..
I know most of you knows about this and have came across this..
But I am just informing those peeps who doesn't read.
And will not want to have anything to do with reading..
Knowing that I do have quite a number of friends who wasn't an avid reader.
(Or to be frank. They are allergic to books!=_= Thinking that its no use reading too much and books are boring and crap)

I am not sure if I've read that book from her before..
But the story line is sorta familiar..
There's a twist in that story.
Unpredictable..
Ánd that's what we should expect from Jodi Picoult..
I've read a lot of books and at times I can't keep track of which books that I've read..
Especially those books that I don't have it in my library..
And My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult happened not to be in my collection..
Indeed I love Jodi Picoult books..
Besides Torey Hayden who is a psychologist.
I have only these collection of books from her :

And I read them for more than 5 times??
But my favourite in her collection is Keeping Faith which I think I've read it for like..
More than 6 times?
I don't know..
Every time I read her books..
There's always a new message that I managed to extract from her books.
And My Sister's Keeper..
Well this book from her..
Perhaps I did read that book before..
Or maybe not..
Cause when I watched the story...
Gawd.
I cried so much!
No kidding!
That's the only movie that I'd watched and cried for like throughout the movie(sorta)
Besides The Passion of Christ which I've watched it thrice and I cried all three times I watch the same brutal scene where they crucified Jesus on the cross..
However..
My Sister's Keeper..
Whoa man!
It just blew me off like that..
Its an amazing story I must say..
Then again,
Jodi Picoult write good stories!
She's an awesome novelist which touched my heart..
Each time I read her book.

I am not gonna be a spoiler here..
Cause I know there are some of you who haven't watch that movie yet..
But if you haven't watch it,
Do spare some time to watch it.
Its really meaningful.
Even idiots and the most ignorant beings can't help but to spot at least a couple of message from that story!

I think I got mixed it up with Memory Keeper's Daughter book..
Which I find it rather depressing when I read it 2 years back..
But when I read it again this year..
I don't know..
Its another story or message that I managed to extract from that novel.
I don't particularly like movies which are extracted from novels..
For instance,
Harry Potter..
Since I always find the movies disappointing..
Don't ever mention anything about Twilight.
Although its the new hype among the teenagers now..
And some stupid adults!
Twilight is just off the hook STUPID!
At least there's some substance in Harry Potter!
I think the writer of Twilight is just a wannabe.
Knowing that JK Rowling managed to produce such amazing story..
That I dont know whats her name(Twilight author)..
Just wanna be another legend by coming out with series which will keep morons waiting for the books to be released.
Like cummon!
*rolles eyes*

Anyway.
I don't wanna go on criticizing Twilight..
Read the first book to see whats the hype all about.
Found it really STUPID..
I repeat STUPID,
And I don't wanna read the second book..
Though I did contemplate whether to read it a not knowing that I've started reading her first book..
And perhaps I could finish reading all her series to see if the story gets any interesting..
Then again,
I can't bear those stupid sloppy love stories.
I rather turn to chic flicks books no matter how shallow some of them can be.

Right..
I don't wanna beat around the bush.
The book..
My Sister's Keeper..
I expect it to be better..
I'll read it later to see how is it like..
Ugh.
I hate it when I forgot which book I've read before or not..
I mean how can I ever forget how good a story is!
Cause I remember reading Stepmom by I forgotton who is the author already 5 years back..
And I still can remember that story..
(And no, its not a story about a stepmom who abuses her stepdaughter or stepson)
Then we have Marley(the story of the dog which is turned into a movie too)
I read that 3 years back and I still can remember crying at the last bits of the story when Marley died..
Well these stories need recognition no?
And how can I possibly forget that I've read My Sister's Keeper if I ever read it before..

That's a CRIME!
LOL!
Enough of the drama.
For you guys who loathe reading.
You don't have read that book but you guys should watch the movie..
And remember that its Jodi Picoult who wrote the novel=)

I didn't say anything that I can write a book.
Then again,
We should have more writers who could deliver a proper and a more realistic message through their story
(not some stupid vampire romance and wanting to die for some stupid guy who look like a corpse)

I hate Twilight.
And I think I'm gonna kill my brother if the last book of the Harry Potter series is ruined by his very own hands.
Despite of the fact that I am over fantasy books like Harry Potter..
But I can't help but to look at JK Rowling at awe to come out with something like that which is MUCH MUCH MORE REALISTIC COMPARE TO SOME SHYTTY VAMPIRE ROMANCE AND HOW PERFECT A GUY CAN BE! BLUH!!!!!
At least I learn stuff about the value of friendship and life in the Harry Potter series..
Not some stupid dumbass sacrification for some guy you couldn't resist.

You may ask what about me being all gaga over David Archuleta than..
To defend yourself from falling helplessly in love with EDWARD CULLEN and JACOB in the novel?!
David Archuleta is real isn't he?
He has his flaws knowing that he is only a human after all..
But you don't see me doing all those sacrificing job for him..
Something like owh,
Bite me already..
I am willing to be a vampire for you..
*pukes*
I've met David Archuleta in person no?
Even got his autograph as a symbol that HE IS REAL TO ME!
He's not perfect..
But he's very down to earth.
Hence, its not a sin to fall for someone like him.
Then again..
I wouldn't wanna sacrifice anything for him or even MARRY him!=___=
Nevermind date him.
Not bullshitting.
I swear!

If this is not real..
What about..

This?
At least this adorable dude acknowledge his fans!
