6th week

The 6th week of my 3rd semester begins this week. Which also means that my coffee diet begins this week.

*insert sad face*

I am craving for my dark mocha drink already =(
But the keeper promised to get me my dark mocha after my coffee diet^^
Yesh!

I shall look forward to that, and my 2 weeks break. The keeper has already made a list of what to do during the break, while I've already mentally made my list of what to do during the break *grins happily*

I had a superbly awesome time with the keeper at 3 different bookstores (Borders, MPH, & Popular) within one day last week. I am looking forward to more moments spent like that^^ Heh.

This week will be spent meeting deadlines and cramming.
There goes my life.

Us♥

Happy Vagina Valentines Day peeps!!

The ladies seemed to get all hyped up over that occasion. Yours truly however treats that occasion as another day to spend with her keeper:) I celebrated it a day earlier *grins*. Since I know that most of them will be celebrating today and I know that celebrating that occasion any day wouldn't make a difference.

And I like spending any one of my weekends with the keeper!^^

So Jyun turns out at my doorstep in the morning with sunflowers!♥♥

Instead of roses or tulips (since he knows that I dislike them). 5 Sunflowers for youth, beauty, faith, hope, and renewal & love. Since back then, I posted about the 4 reasons to my principles about sunflowers. Although I don't remember posting them in my blog, but the keeper remembers it, which is uberly sweet of him=p That's one of his speciality anyway, being able to make you feel like you are so important to him^^ The last principle which is renewal and love is from him. But why renewal and love? Heh. That, is for me to know *winks*

The rest of the day, we hang out like what we usually do when we have all the time to ourselves=)

Yours truly

My partner in crime=)

Our lunch.
I got what I've been craving for, pasta=p
Yum!^^

The restaurant that we had our lunch at were packed since it's a Sunday. So we only got this one seat left for us which makes me feel rather claustrophobic. I like having huge space all to myself, although I do not need much space.

Me : Awww..I like the seat in front of us. I wish we can sit there instead.
Jyun : Do you want to switch place then?
Me : Nuhhh..since we are here already..

When our food arrived. A waiter approached us, "Excuse me miss/mr can you switch seats to the table in front of you? *points at the table*"

Jyun grins widely and me as he told the waiter that it wouldn't be a problem for us to switch places to the table in front of us since that's where I want to have my lunch at. At a spacious cubicle=)

Before lunch, we hung out at our favourite place at the mall, namely the MPH bookstore. I saw this particular book from the section that I usually love exploring when I am at the store, while Jyun was at his favourite section which is somewhere near my favourite section. Anyway, I saw this book by James Patterson and I really really like the book. Only thing is it's so costly and it's way above my budget. Jyun wanted to buy it for me, but yeah I don't want him to. I told him that I can wait (something told me that I should wait as usual). And Jyun went like "Wait for what? I can get it for you now, I don't mind." And I told him that, sometimes, when I wait to get something, later I'll get it at a better and affordable price. Something that will make me content and super happy to own that book. It's like a rare find feeling. I like that feeling, a lot.

After lunch, we walked around the mall and checked out accessories designs. Even managed to get Jyun to find rare finds for me *grins*. We bumped into this MPH bookfair. And the books were all discounted. Jyun saw the exact book that I wanted, sold at half price and passed it to me "Isn't this the book that you wanted just now?"

You can guess the way I grinned when I saw that book=D And I shall quote Jyun, "You're right. The waiting is worth it." HAHAHA!*smiles*

Then we went for a stroll at some park. The rest of the day is just a serene splendid day spent with the keeper=)

We do not need any special occasion to remind us of how special we are to each other.

My bestie is sooooooo sweet!*grins* Thank you sweets for being my partner in crime since young! I wuff you heaps!!!! And Tony is such an amazing partner in crime to someone like her=p

What did I do today? Spending the day like any other day.

Some asshole spoil my mood during lunch time, so I canceled my sushi lunch plan with the keeper. But something managed to work out later anyway^^

I like celebrating special occasion my way. I have someone to agree with me too!

Have an awesome one peeps! Even if you are single (Valentines are for everybodeee). There's always your best friend to turn to or close bunch of friends. I have an awesome best friend and super awesome siblings=)

Awesome week

Today has been the MOST eventful day ever!!!

No wait..

That's not right...

Strike that out..

This week has been pretty eventful anyway although there's a few days to go before the week come to an end.

From being annoyed at one of my group mate for making us wait for his reply since we really need his student ID and the printers in the uni are all fucked up today, just when we really need it. So yeah, I was rather moody this morning with all the waitings.

Anyhoo, for the first time, I submitted my assignment rather late (after most of my classmates have handed in theirs), although I did submit it before the deadline which is 4 hours later after I submitted ours (group work, again, I hate group work).

Then Carmen drove Jyun and I to Pyramid for lunch with the rest of the classmates. The close knit group, but this time, we were lunching with the extended group (bird gang, no pics of the group with me, one day I'll post it up). Lunch was yummy, surprisingly. And it's my first proper chinese lunch with the classmates and I had RICE for lunch (which is rather rare for me to have rice during lunch or when I am out with the classmates).

After that, we "lou sang". I stole pics from Clarissa aka da jie:

Before

After

Later, I hung out with my bestie and her boyfriend, Tony. Has heaps of fun with those two! And fyi, it's my first time hanging out with my bestie when she's with her boyfriend properly. Nice guy he is. I approve 150%!!*winks*

Even had my dose of Dark Mocha from Starbucks after ages, thanks to Tony!!!*grins*

The keeper got me my mocha for the past 2 days (thankyouverymuch, sunshine) since for the past 2 days, I spent such long hours at campus and so lil time sleeping..(except for last night, I KO-ed when I got back till this morning (overslept=X)

Bestie and I have this fascination for charm bracelet. We spot this really nice one at Empire just now, it has the things we like on it (bookes and dogs) but it's gold in colour. I don't like gold accessories. Bestie and I agreed that we like the bronze kind of accessories since it looks antique. I am a sucker for antique looking stuff when comes to accessories. I like looking at them although I don't own any. Charm bracelets are one of my weakness since I like looking at them, besides book but I like to own books.

I have all the books that I want in my collection, except for a few which are really costly. My partner in crime aka the keeper also has a fetish for books too. As nerdy as I may sound when I mention this, but I love hanging out with the keeper at the bookstore and I know he loves it as much as I do=)

My cousins flew back to Aussie last weekend. My cousin bro were pretty sad when he's about to leave that he teared=(

Jun Shen & Jun Yi, do come back soon alryte? Or maybe if I have the time, I can drop back Melbourne to hang out with both of you!*grins*

Sigh. I miss Melbourne.

I just finished drinking my dark mocha (Tony's treat) and I am craving for more. My mom doesn't like it though. I told her she's too old to enjoy such drinks..XD

Yesterday, a speaker got invited to talk to us about exotic pets. I am currently studying about pets behaviour as part of my subject for my 3rd sem, hence it comes in handy to learn about stuff like handling exotic pets and other stuff about exotic pets. We even get to play with lizards after the talk!! And also snakes!*grins* Lizards are such beautiful animal=D Not the house lizards fyi. Next week we'll get to see Dr Saga feeding the snake! Iabsolutelycan'twaittowitnessthat!

One of the lizards that we played with was the one below:)
I think it's called Gheko lizard=D

Gotta stop ranting now, havta get something done.

Till then..

The aftermath of CNY

Last week..

It was an incredibly hectic week (as usual). Although I can't recall much of what happened last week besides the empty campus since most of them were back at hometown for their Chinese New Year celebration, having to try to complete most of the assignments although it's a group work (I hate group work. Pair work is awesome.) but it feels like a pair work, having a lot of reunions with the relatives since my aunt will be heading back to Aussie, and spending one of the weekend with the keeper (my favourite moment of the week).

My reunions are alright. Not a big deal. Same old thing. I went for lesser visitings this time, and my parents were surprisingly cool with it. I only went for two house visiting=P I skipped the rest since I find them pointless. Yes, I don't get ang pao if I don't go visiting, but really I don't give a damn.

Saw my cousin sis who is of my age, getting wasted for the first time. And it was H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S!! Best memory with the cousins after a long dry years of not having much to look forward to during the Chinese New Year season which is being able to drink since we all have passed the legal age to drink (although we all started drinking before we hit our legal age, but heck!). So I like to drink. Not beer or whisky but wine. In fact, I am craving for a drink now. Not good.

Monday blue today isn't that blueish after all=) There's a reason why I look forward to Mondays..*grins*

100th day!

Thank you for coming into my life and be part of it=)
Actions speaks louder than words, but you're the only exception.
Your actions and words screamed for my attention everyday and I noticed it*grins*

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year to all my readers who celebrate this occasion! I just got back from my grandparent's place and I just finished a bottle of Apple flavour Vitagen=p I have no idea what are my plans for the rest of the day, but I sure hope I don't need to go for any visitings *crosses my fingers*.

I am not a huge fan of this celebration. In fact, I hate this time of the year. Not only I find a few traditions pointless, but I am waiting for the whole thing to be abolished. Yeah. I am such a hater. Sue me.=.=

8 things I hate about Chinese New Year. Well, 8 is a good numbers for Chinese..*shrugs* I should put 4, but I don't have only 4 things I hate about Chinese New Year!

1) The incredibly annoying Chinese New Year song that have the same beat for every songs. And the lyrics and the singers are just a pain to my pair of ears listening to them. Ugh. Frankly, I don't understand the message behind those lyrics and they seem to repeat the same thing over and over again, like Gong Xi Ni? Like what the hell is that?

2) Lion dance. It's too noisy for me. I don't like the noise. Pointless noise I mean. I don't mind if it's that hip hop sort of Lion dance like they have in S'pore which I think it's cool and they should really change the whole Lion dance steps or the beat. The rhythm of the songs especially.

3) Mandarin oranges. Yes, I don't eat them. But there are tonnes of them. I don't know why are they there for..=X

4) Family reunions. It's the same old thing, same dishes, and no conversations on the table. And the same questions being asked by the same bunch of people. Oh boy. And same remarks such as, "You're growing into such a pretty lady/man" and they say the same thing to any other ladies/boys (in mandarin of course). What an insult for those who are genuinely attractive.

5) Those ching chong language which I don't get. In my part it's Hokkien or Mandarin. I feel like a sucker all the time whenever I havta get someone to translate for me. Or having to use chopsticks to eat when you can use something easier like a fork and a spoon. Anyhow, I still use the conventional fork and spoon to eat despite of the comments received from my relatives.

6) The visitings. Waste of time. You show up at their door steps. Greet a bunch of strangers and just sit there and stare and wait till you need to make a move to the next house. In my case text or read. It's just a waste of time not doing anything (although reading or texting is doing something) but what I meant is, doing something, productive!

7) Ang Paos. Really not a big deal for me since it's not like they are generous enough to give me a hundred bucks each or something. Which is impossible really. Anyway, I just think that the adults are giving us just to abide to the tradition and it's out of courtesy for them to give red packets for us and it's also for us young people to say thank you, smile and greet them politely when you receive them. All I can think of is those red packets will be thrown away and they are killing trees for that!? Ok, yes, those ang pao packets can pay for some of my meals or my parking ticket. And thank you for that, really.

8) Gambling. I don't gamble. But I don't mind drinking, my family don't drink anyway. But yeah, gambling. I don't know how to gamble and I don't want to. Whenever my relatives gamble. I can't even join or learn to understand the same, cause I just don't get the game.

Ok, in short. I hate anything to do with tradition. Tradition is good, if it make sense. Most of the tradition that my family live up to are pointless in my point of view. Why visit those strangers every once a year when you don't know who are they anyway?o.O Can't I just walk over to my neighbour's place to greet them Happy Chinese New Year in the hope of receiving red packets? It's still the same since I don't know who are my neighbours. Then again, it's not like not receiving red packets are such a big deal for me. Receiving them or not, it really doesn't matter.

So what if I am so un-Chinese. Well I am Chinese, but I am not so Chinese in the typical Chinese people point of view. Christmas is still the best celebration, hands down. Good feeling in the air, awesome company (even if it's with your own family only or your close friends), good songs too, and awesome tv shows on tv. During Chinese New Year season all you can get are those Asian shows on TV or Asian movies in the cinema. Ugh.

Those Chinese who will be reading this aren't gonna be so please about my point of view, but then again, I also know a bunch of Chinese people who have the same point of view about Chinese New Year.

But what's good about Chinese New Year is..urhm..new clothes? LOL! Yes, new clothes.=)

But I am looking forward to hang out with my classmates on Sunday=) Can't wait!

Owh that reminds me, Chinese New Year, is almost like any other day for me. Since I am back early from my grandparent's place (double yay!), I have the whole day to myself. Am deciding whether to resume doing my assignments or just chill for a day..hmmm..
