Uncle Jang, Coffee Bean, & Osteria RealBlue

It has been a rather productive week at work.
So after a eventful week, Jyun and I decided to go for a casual night out :)
We had dinner at Uncle Jang (Solaris Mont Kiara's branch)..

We managed to finish the food!!!
(Actually Jyun managed to help me to finish them)
It was a huge portion and I was worried that a lot will go to waste..

Food was good though..
We had the rice instead of ramen noodles..
It was very spicy too although we ordered the mixed set..
I think it's called Dak Galbi?

The end product..

 Yes, I am a messy eater..XD
And Jyun is the total opposite..HAHA!
 After that..
We went for coffee since I was hankering for coffee at Coffee Bean..
My favourite commercialize coffee joint :)

The Coffee Bean at Solaris was very cozy..
Love the atmosphere and it was so very cozy..
 My usual Mocha Latte

After that we decided to hunt for desserts at Publika..
We went to this rather fancy Italian restaurant called Osteria RealBlue for some authentic Italian desserts

 Panna Cotta..
It tasted like cheese..but it's not cheese..
It was delicious..
The taste wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet for my taste buds..
I like this very much:)
 Tiramisu..
Unlike the usual Tiramisu that I had before this..
This was the original Tiramisu which is creamy and milky..
Not too sweet or cheesy..
I quite like it but I like the Panna Cotta better..
And I still prefer the Tiramisu that I had at a bakery nearby..
I do miss that Tiramisu..
Perhaps one day we'll head over to the same place for dinner instead..
:)

29th..
It has been a good journey..
New chapter next.

Food Foundry & Espresso Lab

Last weekend..
We wanted to have brunch at Butter + Beans @ Seventeen.
However, the place is so so so very tiny and it couldn't fit more customers..
So we decided to have brunch at Food Foundry (at Happy Mansion) instead.
Food Foundry is situated just behind Butter + Beans @ Seventeen,
and we've heard a lot of good reviews about the place so I thought why not give it a try since we are just there:)

 I like the homey atmosphere..

 My meatball pasta..
It was quite dry..
The meatball was just so so (I've had better)
 Jyun's steak sandwich.
Like the bread..

As for the steak uhhh I guess Jyun finds it alright?
Although it was such a thin slice of steak..

Chocolate Mille Crepe.
My first mille crepe and it didn't disappoint me:)
Love the texture of the cake..

Maybe next time I'll try some other food from Food Foundry..
But I'll go back for their Mille Crepe :)

After that, coffee at Espresso Lab @ Publika..
We wanted to go back to Butter + Beans @ Seventeen for coffee but the place is still packed..
So Espresso Lab it is since I've been wanting to try their coffee :)
Latte..
It was one of the strongest latte that I've ever tasted.
Like how the barista balance the amount of milk and espresso in my cup of latte:)
I like my latte milky but not too milky..
The worse that I had was at Starbucks which tastes like water and espresso.
Blueh..
Then again, you can't expect much from commercialize coffee place..
Jyun's Mocha

Decided to update my blog now before I we go for my our vacation.
Different destination but it's gonna be so exciting!
HOMYGOSH I am so excited! :)

Till then?

Coffee Societe & BBQ Thai

After my last paper....
Jyun and I head over to Coffee Societe (Publika).
It was our first time there..
And I really like their coffee:)
The baristas were also very friendly.
Good atmosphere to hang out..
 Latte.
The right amount of bitterness..
I approve :)
 Mocha..
I had a sip from Jyun's cup but I think I still prefer the mocha from Artisan Roast
Yeap:)
He sure likes a good cup of joe :)

Then dinner at BBQ Thai- Thai Street Food at Old Klang Road.
A place recommended by William..
 The food there was delicious.
Well the few dishes that I had and I like..

It was a good place to go in a group of people..
Eating with a group of people opens your appetite,
And you could order all sorts of dishes.
Anyway William was the one who helped us to order the dishes below..
 Refreshing pandan drink..
A good drink to wash down your food..
We had alot of spicy food so this drink does help to keep us less warm..
 The squid dish..
Don't know the name, don't really like it but I don't really like squid anyway..
But the rest seemed to like it..
 Pandan boneless chicken.
Extra points for the boneless part..
Another extra points for the taste.
A must try dish.
 Mango salad.
It's too sour and it's alright (don't fancy it much)
A good appetizer though..
If you go in a group, try not too get too much of those..
Cause not everyone would find this to their liking..
 Green curry.
I drowned my rice with this.
The rice was so fragrant. I actually was really happy to have rice with the dishes.
(Although before this I really try to avoid rice as much as possible)
I like this :)
But I think the Thai Golden Village at Kepong serves better green curry..
 Grilled pork.
So soooo sooooooo good.
It's my favourite of all dishes.
Must try.
Tomyam..
Spicy and super sour.
I like :)
I think this is by far the best tom yam soup that I've ever tasted.
Although it's so spicy..
 Water chestnut dessert.
We attacked this once they served us.
I like this :) Especially the nangka and chesnut combination..
Mango sticky rice.
Finally got to try this!
Mango was sour though..
But I like the sticky rice..
 Let the feast begin!

 The couples..
Sunny and his boyfriend are the sweetest couple that I've ever came across.

Nestor and Sean (right) are the most adorable ones:)
 The ladies
 The bros reunite!
Sue Yen and William are like siblings from a different mother.
Both equally loud..
 Bromance #1
With Bradley around, there will be a good bromance session among the guys..
 Bromance #2
The caption of bromances.
Bradley and Chee Boon.
Without the other, the bromance process will not be complete.
Yes they are interdependent on each other to get the guys going ;)
 That's Jia Hui for you..
She always managed to find something fascinating about the littlest thing around her..
That's her playing with the airconditioned fan..
And Bradley joining in..

 The ECC power girls
 The ladies.
Do I need to say anything about him?
He has been my partner in crime since the day we met on the railings :)
First person I spoke to on my first day of class..

Yeap.
It has been a great journey with these bunch.
