The present, 2013

 Back in 2010..
There were so many people whom I cannot remember from this photograph.

Moving forward to the present day in 2013.
Today is our final lecture for the final semester.
Next week is the finale.

Yes, it has been one heck of a journey with the batch.
The family has expanded tremendously over the years with additional peeps joining the batch.
We played sports together, had heaps of gatherings together, and endless laughter.

The batch is made up of interesting people with unique personality.
I cannot string together sentences/words to describe the time I studying with these bunch:)
But I shall end this post by saying..
Batch 12, you'll be missed.
It's nice having a bunch of people who understand what we'll go through being a Psychology student :)

A proposal

This is what I call romantic.
Not those elaborated proposals in public (I personally find that humiliating).
Look at the effort he puts into it.
It's so hard to say no to that sort of proposal :)

Photo bomb

I'm usually way behind my blog post when comes to events..
It's so much easier to post pictures of good food cause at least my blog wouldn't be spammed with camwhore pics..XD

But since the past few weeks has been rather memorable..
And the pics taken wasn't a lot..
So here it goes..

CNY gathering at Runa's place..

Last minute lunch & coffee session with the bunch..
Most of my classmates are coffee lovers.
Although most of them are Starbucks drinkers and I personally find Starbucks coffee tastes like instant coffee..
Hence I introduced them to good coffee :)
We went to Coffee Chemistry since it's convenient for us..

However,
The latte art was rather disappointing when I went there with them.
Maybe it's because it's lunch hour and they have more customers so their latte art wasn't that refine?

And the latte that I had wasn't that satisfying either for some reason..
It tasted rather bland..
But oh well..
At least this week I had my cup of good coffee from Antipodean Cafe :)

Even their bacon pasta (which is my usual order) tasted bland..

Celebrated Feb babies birthday:)

PS: Good food and a good cup of coffee makes me happy :)

Antipodean Cafe: Brunch

The other day I told Jyun that it has been quite sometime since we've last hung out in one of our fav cafes.
And he said, alright! Lets go this week! Which cafe do you wanna go?
So we had brunch at Antipodean Cafe.
It was a spontaneous trip there and I absolutely love the choice I've made for myself:

 Salmon scrambled eggs with toasts.
Sour dough bread, which is my fav choice of bread and it was crispy and chewy..
As for the eggs, it was perfectly cooked. Just the way I like it, fluffy and the combination of salmon with it is so goooood!
It was a huge brunch though.

I love the bread they have at Antipodean Cafe.
It beats Plan B's toasts hands down.
Although I like the way Plan B make their beans
(I personally dislike eating beans but I've made an exception for Plan B's beans).
I have not tried Plan B's scrambled eggs since usually I get the eggs poached at Plan B..

Jyun had the croissant with scrambled eggs and pork sausage.
I didn't snap any pics of it since I've had that before.
I think Jyun likes his brunch too since I quite like their croissant when I had it:)
He didn't got his hot chocolate drink though because it wasn't the right time to have it.

My cup of cappuccino.
I usually have their latte but this time I decided to try their cappuccino.
Love the coffee art and it goes really well with my food:)

Great brunch, great company.
It was good that we managed to find time to go for brunch like this considering it was the peak season for our semester.
Thanks, Jyun :)

Sushi Zanmai

This was their supposedly "rainbow rolls". Which were my favourite.
So obviously I would know when they got the food wrong.
But no, the waitress insisted it's rainbow rolls so I couldn't be bothered that time knowing that the place was packed with other couples waited to be seated *rolls eyes*

We went to the Mont Kiara branch since that's our favourite Sushi Zanmai branch.
And the place isn't crowded most of the times when we went to that place.
So it was disappointing when they got my order wrong and insisted that it was the correct one.

I only ate one of it and let Jyun finish the rest:)
Sushi goodness at Sushi Zanmai:)

Valentines Day

So yesterday was Valentines day. And coincidentally my partner and I had free time for each other on that day. We don't celebrate Valentines day since we don't find it necessary to do so when any other dates that we had are fun. After all, my partner doesn't need a day like Valentines day to take me out for good food and buy me flowers/gifts.

We did our usual stuff when we meet up which is going for food that we both feel like eating and of course getting our weekly cup of joe at our favourite cafe:) I even managed to find the time to hit the gym with him since I know I need to sweat all those toxic out from my body after what I've consumed for the past few days during the festive season.

We had Japanese food at Sushi Zanmai since I was craving for sushi. The branch that we went to were usually empty even during weekends. And yesterday there was a queue! Both of us were rather surprise to see so many people inside the restaurants and outside. We even passed by a florist and usually there were no people at the place but today business were incredibly good. We saw many couples walking hand in hand in the malls. We also saw alot of ladies with flowers (roses in particular) and later when we went to Publika to hunt for desserts, the place was packed too! Most restaurants were so packed so we decided to leave the place without out desserts.

It makes me wonder if couples only dine out during Valentines because any other festive season we don't usually see that many people in most restaurants. Do most guys/men think that making their girlfriends or partner feels special only on that day is necessary so that they can get away with it during normal days when there's no Valentines/birthdays/anniversaries? Florists thrive and bloomed during Valentines and any other days the place seem to be a lil lonely/quiet.

To me Valentines Day is overrated. It's a great day to earn loads of money from people though:D Flowers were more expensive, you can see all those soft toys that were being displayed way before Valentines all sold out when it's near Valentines, chocolates which comes in those fancy boxes were more expensive too and restaurants get to attract more people during Valentines day just because they have those special menu for Valentines day!

But what matters is when we make our special someone or friends or family feel that they are worth is and important every other days besides Valentines/Anniversaries/Birthdays:)

I hope you readers had a great day yesterday and for the past few days with your family/friends/partner. Cause I did and boy I was really well fed for the past few days:) The barista at my favourite coffee place even added extra expresso shot into my Mocha Latte :D
