The end of the break

What a way to end the Raya break...

Ikea was crazy crowded!

I usually like going there during the weekdays when there's less people..

But my parents wanted to shop for stuff that day so we found ourselves there..

The line above is just the line in front..

I didn't snap pics of the whole line cause you'll faint when you look at the line..

I've been to Milano a few times when we both can't think of what to eat and settle for something simple and nice..

Beef lasagna:) 

I think I still prefer their meatball spaghetti..

But their carbonara is a big nono cause it tasted disgusting..

My cup of cafe latte which tasted absolutely milky..

The caffeine taste is rather bland..

Sometimes I prefer my coffee stronger but this time I am alright with this:)

 He had Nutella Macchiato (I think that's what it called)..

Tasted very chocolaty..XD 

Popular Bookfest 2012

Jyun managed to persuade me to go to the bookfest with him..

I didn't want to go in case I bought heaps of books impulsively..

It's a good day to head over to KL since the roads are clear..

And the fair isn't that packed with people:)

All these books for only RM142.80

Yes, I am a happy happy girl :)

Although I must say that last year's bookfest is better since it has better books,

Or maybe I've bought most of the good books..

I went to a few sections and can't find any books that I've not read..

And the profile sections are a bit disappointing too..

I can't find one particular book that I want..

But I did managed to get myself Alice Walker's book and another Torey Hayden's book which I have not read yet:)

Anyway the pile of books above are my stock of light read books since I've ran out of books to read..

Lunch at Levain

 Jyun took a few selection of bread..

And I settled for creamy mushroom spaghetti and chicken donut

 It was good! 

There's a hint of lemon taste and it's not too creamy either..

Just right for my taste buds..

But the donuts tasted a little "off" today..

The previous time when I had my meals there, the donut tasted better

On our way home, we saw the advertisement by BN..

Yeah, they look desperate.

And that's not the only advertisement,

There were more along our way back..

*facepalm*

Week Two

This week has been rather interesting..

There were volunteers from Monash and IMU

And the kids were rather restless due to the many new faces

I didn't snap much photographs in my work place since we are always busy doing something,

Either chasing after the kids,

Or cutting something,

Getting something ready..

Brainstorming..

On Wednesday when I have my day off from work to work on my thesis..

I collected the rest of my data..

And now I am done with it! 

Yesh!

We went for coffee at Austin Chase..

Their Mocha Frappucino tastes like crap..

And Jyun had their almond coffee I think..

I don't like it either

*claps hand like a seal*

Yeap, just us chilling at that place

Raya break for a week and I should start working on my data entry soon..

First week of internship

My first week of internship taught me a few things:

1) I have to learn the kids name soon. Cause if I don't I'll have a hard time to get them to respond to me and connect to them.

2) The kids will test your boundaries when you are new to that place. Just like every other children and teenagers, they test you.

3) What I've learned in theory is really different in real life. Theory may seem simple. But the application is just..very different? 

4) The kids may be very stubborn, sometimes loud, and just plain naughty. But they sure make you smile and laugh. Only problem is I got to learn how to stifle my laugh just not to reinforce some of the negative behaviour.

5) Baby steps, is baby steps. You gotta find a way to learn what baby steps mean for each kids.

6) Patience is a damn good virtue. It's very rewarding to have the patience. And I'm glad that I managed to learn those from Jyun and my previous experience with kids at the kindie.

7) The kids have a lot to teach you. I just have to be more observant of them to be able to learn more from them.

8) The kids might be able to talk or they may not have any audible speech at all. Not only I have to determine who can do what, I have to know what are they trying to tell me to be able to teach them.

9) There are terms that I have not come across before and there'll be more to come.

First week has been rather hectic..

And I'll have a lot more to learn in the up coming week:)

TGIF

Smooth traffic in the morning and evening,

Have the kids to put a huge smile on my face for the whole day:D

Now it's time to pay off my sleep dept for the entire week..
I don't like the zit on my face due to lack of sleep..:(

Me: How to spell your name? 
Kid: K. O. K. *mumbles mumbles*
Me: Can you write it down here for me instead? *points at the line*
Kid: Kokubsabfbklabfiohfan
Me: *Erase everything* Mr K, can you write your name again for me?
Kid: Kokubsabfbklabfiohfan

I did that for at least four times before I moved on to other things..
Since I'm confused, I asked the teacher in charge.

Me: Does he knows how to spell his name?
Teacher: Of course!
Me: But he wrote this *shows the paper to her*
Teacher: Owh that's just his way of writing his own name.

o.O

Poor kid, he must be so confused.

I have alot to learn.

One of those Sundays

One of those wonderful Sunday we spent together..

Involves us, coffee, good conversation, and good food:)

My usual mocha latte, and Jyun's hot white chocolate drink

 The weather was INCREDIBLE!

It was gloomy, windy, and absolutely not sunny..

It was a good day to sit and have a cup of coffee with your good companion:)

And of course,

We went to the bookstores to check out the books..

 Had Japanese food for dinner at Sushi Zanmai..

 This rainbow rolls is mad yummy!

I forgotten what is in it besides the mozzarella cheese :P

Dumplings and spider rolls..

Dumplings weren't as good as the ones we had in some other Japanese place

 (can't remember the restaurant name)

Spider rolls is just so so..

Jyun's beef udon noodles..

And my god knows what sushi is that..

But I like that sushi..

LOL

Internship begins tomorrow!

Not sure whether to feel more excited or nervous..

Dato Lee Chong Wei, our legend and hero from Malaysia.

It doesn't matter who won cause it was a great match!

He played his best and we are very proud of this great man:)

At the end of the day, he's still a winner in most of our heart..

Plan B @ Bangsar Village

On our brunch date..

We went to Plan B :)

 I like the way they make their orange juice,

So fresh. And it's with pulp too!!

No sugar added either:)

Jyun had Mocha,

I had a cup of latte this time..

The latte wasn't that good and it was served hot..

(You know how is it like for a good cup of coffee)

I still prefer the latte I had at Whisk Empire

But the place has good service..

And good atmosphere to dine it.

Plus, the last time I went there for their Mocha, it tastes good..

They usually serve us with water :)

Jyun likes how the water is stored in that bottle

I had the Plan B breakfast set.

Cause I remember how good it was..

All the goodness/my favourite things in one plate!

It was a hearty brunch though..

Jyun had the Char-Grilled Cheese burger

He had this before when we first went to that place,

And he likes it, hence we went back for it again:)

After that we decided to buka puasa with his bestie, Baezy at his place.

He was still in his pj's when we got there..

Jyun had to bug him to change so we can hunt for food at the Ramadhan bazaar..

Frisbee was AWESOME!

Had a game of frisbee with my classmates and a few others at Setia Alam.
