Goodbye 2013

2013 has been an eventful year.
It's the year of goodbye to a new beginning.
Or perhaps it's the year whereby yours truly had to make big decisions.
The year of what's next.
The year to learn and thrive.
The year for reflection and the year to let go.
Most of all,
It's the year whereby I get to do what I like to do most.
And living the moment.
Besides trying not to worry so much about the future.

Anyway.
I started the year by handing in my thesis.
It was a one year project.
And boy, it was such a relief when I handed that baby in.

It was the year of goodbyes.
As it was the year of my final semester for my bachelor degree program.
I had to bid goodbye to them and hope to be in touch with them

It was one heck of a ride with this bunch.
The social experiments we did,
The endless chatter from the "bird gang",
The shameless teasing and insults we threw at each other.
Most of all,
Rejoicing together after each assignments we handed in and each finals we are done with.

And so after our finals,
Obviously someone decided that we need to have a feast.

After that we parted and most of us got a job.
But we got together again to celebrate my wife's birthday.
Did I mention that I got "married" this year too?
Jokes.
Social gatherings after our finals were scarce.
So when we got together; sometimes hell break loose.
:P

Even without alcohol.

Went for my first trip abroad with my girlfriends.
It was a trip whereby the girls do what they do best.
Shop and eat :)

Went for my first lady boy show.
:)
They were gorgeous.
Street food hunting with these ladies.

I started working before I graduated.
Figured I might as well go ahead and pursue what I like doing best.
This year,
I am an ABA therapist for autistic children in a private centre.
I love my job.
I love my children.
I can't string together words to describe how happy I am to work with my kids.

First company gathering.
Also a farewell for two of my colleagues.

That is when I got to know some of my colleagues better.

There were quite a bit of hello again this year.
Which I am delighted to note that I managed to be in touch with my girlfriends after 4 years of being apart.
High school mates.

Pre U mates.

I graduated.

Decided to reward myself with a trip to Auckland.
I have been wanting to do this for a very very very looooong time.
3 years of "planning" and finding reasons to allow myself to go away for a break.
Finally I sat in front of my laptop and decided to book my air ticket before I change my mind again.
I need an escape.

It was a bloody good trip.
I really needed the break.
Almost didn't want to come back to face reality.
But I missed my children.
And I know that they need me.
With a heavy heart I left.
I still miss that place.
Mostly the feelings attached to it.

Colleagues and I went for a spontaneous road trip.

Also went for a trip to Gold Coast Sepang with the colleagues

The family has expanded towards the end of the year.

I also left my job at the company.
Surprise?
Yesh, SURPRISE!!!
Anyway, more news to come later.

I know I've talked about how much I love my children and my job.
But due to interesting circumstances I had to leave.
I will share the news later?
So stay tuned?
;)

Another goodbye but it's for the best.

Soon to be another goodbye.

Christmas this year was amazing.
Good food and good company.
What more can I ask for?
Well except for one tiny thing..
But it was a good celebration.
One of the best Christmas I must say.
I was happy.
We were all merry.

And finally 35 and 36 months.
Big milestone for us.
It was a good run.
But it's time.

2013 is a year filled with changes.
Goodbyes are necessary albeit tough to swallow for some goodbyes.
What I know is..
2014 could be an incredibly interesting year.

Here I am figuring out how to put together this final post for the year.
At the same time anticipating the New Year.
It will be the year of new beginnings.
So goodbye 2013.
Please be nice, 2014 because I am excited to welcome you into my life:)

ROAD TRIPPPPPP!!!!!

We finally found time to go for a road trip.
Our initial plan was to head over to Broga for a hiking trip.
Since most of us wanted to exercise for a bit.
Anywayyyyyy since it was a rainy season,
It poured the night before.
So we opted for our backup plan.

We were thinking about which beach to go to on our way (Morib/Port Dickson).

Traffic was hell.
But we spent the time laughing at the randomest stuff ever.

Thumbs up for us being spontaneous! :)
*big thumbs up*

 Great weather for picnic

Michelle claimed that this is a special sandwich and insisted that I take a good pic of it.
 Poser!

And this is how we roll!

 Next stop.
Melacca!
I have not been to Melacca for at least 10 years.
Not exaggerating.

Love the old buildings and also the nyonya kebaya

 Melacca asam laksa.
 Laksa

 After math.
Sweaty and pink lips?
Michelle is trying to prove a point there.
Giving her some credits for that.
HAHA

 Melacca cendol.
Soooooo goooooddd
Want to go back for moreeee
 Ice Kacang.
Don't fancy it as much although the girls like it better than the cendol
This is for our lil J:)

Went hunting for O Chien (Fried oyster)
Took us frigging one hour plus to look for this place.
It was hidden in some lane and all the lanes in Melacca look the same.
But we managed to find them :)

The end.
Want more road trip!
